How We Test Coupon Codes
Every code on this site is checked the same way, and we publish the date of the last check on the homepage so you can see how current it is. Here is the whole process, with nothing dressed up.
The Test
- Build a real cart. We add ordinary items to a Temu cart — the kind a normal shopper buys, not a single cheap item picked to make a code look good.
- Apply the code at checkout. The code goes into the coupon field on the payment screen, exactly where you would enter it.
- Confirm the price actually moves. A code passes only if the total drops. “The field accepted it” is not a pass.
- Check both account types. We test with a returning account as well as a new one, because most published Temu codes silently reject existing customers.
- Record the date. The date shown on the homepage is set by hand after a test run. It does not advance on its own, and it never shows a future date.
When a Code Fails
It comes off the page. We do not leave dead codes up to pad the list, and we do not relabel an expired offer as “may still work for some users.”
What We Cannot Promise
Temu controls every offer on this page. Eligibility can depend on your account history, your country, your cart contents, and promotions we cannot see. A code that worked in our test can be withdrawn by Temu an hour later. If something on this page fails at your checkout, tell us through the Contact page and we will re-test it.
How We Are Paid
Affiliate commissions, disclosed in full on our Affiliate Disclosure page. A retailer cannot pay us to list a code that fails our test, and commissions never decide the order of the offers.
